Hello, welcome to Very Little Helps Again! to be clear, this is not a Tesco staff forum! It is an independent forum for Tesco staff (and interested parties).
Use of the forum is at the users risk. Enjoy and be safe!

Shame not many people have found this site so far- unfortunately I feel like lots of the people who used to visit and post on the original vlh do not use reditt and therefore do not yet know about this site.
Also some feedback: Remove the first and last name requirement for signup- yes people can put a false name if they prefer however some people may not sign up to this site because of it asking for your name for worries this site could be run by folk at Tesco HQ trying to catch some employees out.
Also not sure what “use of the forum at the users risk” is about?
Anyway here we go vlh 2.0 I guess let’s see where it is in 6 months time and we go from there!

I agree, it’s a shame not all users will find the new website due to not being a Reddit user, but unfortunately I cannot do anything about this. Hopefully those people will find it eventually through word of mouth.
I appreciate your view on the first and last name fields, I’ll look at a solution to remove this. However, when a user submits a post only the username is visible to the public and not their name. Valid point though, I can understand the concern and will work on it when time permits.
The risk statement is just so people understand that use of the forum is on them. If personal information is used or specifics that could identify them, the accountability is on the individual. Absolutely no risk from the admin of this website, but just a friendly warning to be careful is all 😊.
Thank you again for your reply and suggestions, I’ll work on improvements. Please do let me know if you have anymore and I’ll work on them.
Thanks
Nomadsfriend08/10/2024 at 2:48 am #212First of all thanks so much for making a replacement to Very Little Helps! This is great!
(I will have to agree with steve on the First and Last name point though, yeah people can put a fake name but it would make more sense to not have those fields at all.)
Hope more people find this site soon!08/10/2024 at 7:22 am #214Thanks for your compliment, much appreciated. Yeah, agree and can understand totally! When I have some spare time I’m going to work on removing those fields from the sign up process 😊
Thanks
Nomadsfriend31/10/2024 at 10:26 am #220Hi all,
Following on from the feedback above, I have removed the requirement during registration to input your First/Last name. Hopefully this will bring some reassurance to those nervous about inputting this.
For those that have already registered, rest assured that your name would never be shown during any posts you make or comments you leave.
Thanks
Nomadsfriend03/11/2024 at 10:44 pm #221It is nice to see something has been set up for people to communicate anything that goes in Tesco.
01/12/2024 at 9:48 am #225Checking in as a long time user of the old VLH.
Will mention this new site in passing as the opportunity presents itself. Not a frequenter of the Reddit site but there are a couple of other places where I hang out with other company employees.
13/03/2025 at 4:17 pm #434Hi glad to a part of this new site , an old member of vlh for many yrs . Useful members and advise is what the staff need .
17/03/2025 at 12:59 pm #446Hi, I’m glad to have found this site, the old VLH was priceless in keeping up with HO initiatives and I hope Version 2 is as successful.
28/03/2025 at 1:21 pm #458Any chance we can get the redundancy calculator that they had in the old VLH up and running again?
28/03/2025 at 6:12 pm #472As requested, I’ve replicated the calculator (and simplified slightly). You can find it here – https://verylittlehelpsagain.com/redundancy-calculator/
The numbers output by this calculator should only be used as a guide, your employer can provide an accurate figure.

26/04/2025 at 9:32 am #496Hi everyone,
I’m GloucesterLad, and I work as an Online Shopper, which I like to call my Dot Com role. Although I haven’t been active on social media for a while, I came across this group through the Reddit Tesco page and am excited to join the conversation!
I’m eager to discuss all things Tesco and share my insights with you over the coming days and months. While I wasn’t part of VLH, I’m looking forward to being a part of this community.
Looking forward to chatting with you all!
Best,
GloucesterLad -
