I had my annual review the other day and I don’t think my manager was prepared for my response. When asked how I thought the last year had gone I replied, “badly, because I’ve lost interest in the place.” When asked why I simply said “Tesco is an awful company to work for.”
I appreciate that not everyone may be in a position to say these things (I’m long in the tooth and thinking about retirement), but if more people were honest with managers, EVM surveys and the like, then maybe we’d see change. I can dream, can’t I?
