How do the powers that be expect shelves to be filled, tills to be operated and do everything else associated with working in a shop when there is no staff available? Staffing levels are at bare minimum as it is, holidays and absence (and lazy so-and-sos, but that’s for another thread) just make it worse. Cages of delivery are being handed over by nights, days can’t fill because they’re understaffed, and so it goes on. Pretty soon there’ll be next to nothing on the shelves and customers will start to take their business elsewhere.
Is it the same in every store, or just the one I work in?

It’s a joke. Also, there’s ONE staff member who IS getting it despite it not being advertised.

Same in my store, one person on a five night a week contract regularly works six, while some people on two nights struggle to get the overtime they need to make a decent living. Smacks of favouritism.
