        Plus what happens if everyone on grocery applied to stay on nights? Wouldn’t work out at all.

          I”d definitely be challenging that for sure. They’re trying to stitch people up to save on a payout. When they’ve changed to twilights from nights before they offered redundancy or suitable alternative – forcing people to go to twilights is a huge change in hours and isn’t a suitable/ reasonable alternative.

            For example I dont think they could make you do 4pm – 1am if you are contracted to do a 10pm – 7am (on a older contract) but maybe a 7pm – 4am could be enforced.

              I think it depends if you’re on a newer contract or not for starters. If you are on one of the older ones unless the length of contract offered is exactly the same in terms of number of hours offered and the time of day/ night worked are extremely similar they cannot not offer redundancy. Employment law hasn’t changed so why would the offer of redundancy. When i had to re-do my availability a couple of years ago I was exactly the same as the hours I already worked. Give them a inch they’ll take a mile.
