I’m interested to know what the atmosphere is like in other stores, because in the one I work in it’s toxic. It starts from the top down with favouritism, bullying and intimidation, and a complete failure to reprimand the main troublemakers. I’ve never known so many people to be off with stress/anxiety in all my time working at Tesco. The cut in staff hours has also exacerbated the problem.
I think it’s the same at all stores now especially the Shrewsbury store too much favouritism clicky groups it’s a case of if your face dunna fit you’ve got no chance and in my opinion it’s best to get out. there has to be better places than toscos to work
My store seems happy enough from where I am looking. But that where is mostly out on the road with only myself and my music to keep me company.
It’s been openly admitted that staff hours have been cut because of the National Insurance raise, meaning more work is put onto fewer people. That the lazy so-and-sos aren’t being dealt with is annoying more than a few.
Even the drivers are at it, complaining that others are getting easier runs and so on. As I said, it’s through the whole store.
Complaining about getting others getting easier runs is usually down to confirmation bias of not noticing when they do get the easier run.
Be honest in every voice matters. its the ‘do you recommend Tesco as a good place to work’ question which you need to mark as no or 0. That’s the only one which matters for scoring.
I’ve been honest in the past few EVM surveys and nothing has changed. Too many people moan about things but won’t take action to change it; they either don’t bother filling in the EVM, or don’t answer honestly when they do.
