How long ago where you sent thru OH as it may be the case that if the report was produced more than 6 months ago it could be seen as out of date?

Whilst it is also true OH reports are only recommendations and can be ignored if the manager chooses to – if you are ever dismissed for unacceptable attendance due to ill health any employment tribunal will look dimly on this. A company the size of Tesco should be able to adopt any reasonable adjustment as long as you likewise comply with anything asked of you (ie changing dept/hrs/shifts).

Personally I would ask your manager to re-refer you to OH and clarify where you currently are with your health, what you can and cant do and what Tesco should do to support you.

You should also use colleague help or Usdaw to help advise you on the in work with a long term health condition process.

Its all store specific so some stores its entire night team others only fresh or grocery.

Think its being presented as optional, we would like you to move to 3-12 and we will give you a buy out of premiums if you do but its not mandatory thus avoiding redundancy. Presume Tesco is hoping a lot of night colleagues will willingly move to 3-12 shifts. Unsure what would happen if everyone dug their heals in and said no thanks i will stay where I am.

Also love to know how they busy stores will deliver filled stores in Dec 26 when customers will stop workers every few minutes asking where something is or can they go and open up another till.

3-12 is the shift on offer where I work.

Will be good to see pick rates adjusted to each shop. Never fair picker A picking 20 cans of the same beans is praised for being blue whilst picker B having 20 items in 20 different aisles is challenged over why their pick is amber/red.

Yes even when I worked in a toxic store caused by a dreadful store manager we still scored over 70% on i enjoy working at Tesco. Everyone was vocal about hating it and wanting to leave yet said something different on the survey or didn’t bother completing it
